Morning Routine | Summer Edition

Hello everyone!
I am so excited to bring you all my morning routine. It doesn’t really change season to season, so this routine is pretty standard for every single day. For the summer, I am away and living in LA for a month for my summer intensive training, so rather than starting work right away, I’ll be leaving for my intensive classes. Anyways, I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s begin!

When I first wake up in the morning, it’s usually at 5:30 or 6:00 A.M. and I’ll start by shutting off my alarm and oddly the first thing I do is check my emails. I don’t know why. After shutting off my phone, I’ll turn on some worship music and devote an hour to spending time with God and reading the bible. At the moment I have been reading a lot of Daniel and Matthew, however I’ve also been reading a proverb daily. Starting my day with Jesus is so important and I find a huge difference in my mood and perspective if I don’t spend time with Him.

Around 7:00 A.M. I’ll make my bed and head into the kitchen to make my vitamin cocktail, if you will. I use the Isotonix products and they are so great. My morning cocktail includes the Multi-Vitamin, OPC-3, Calcium Plus, and Advanced B-Complex to give me some extra energy. Once I chug that down, I will make some breakfast and a pot of coffee. This particular day I made cheesy-scrambled eggs and sourdough toast. I would’ve done avocado and put the eggs on top, but I ran out of avocado and I was really sad about it.

After breakfast, I’ll go into the bathroom and do my skincare routine. I use the Skintelligence line and mix it with the Lumiere Di Vie Serum Concentrate, which helps reduce acne, the Lumiere Di Vie Eye Cream, and the Timeless Prescription Anti-Blemish Lotion, which I mentioned in my June Favorites.

After I take a quick shower and get my hair out of the way, I will sit down and do my makeup. I applied my custom blend foundation (link to my second favorite foundation), my Motives Creme Concealer in Peach to my blemishes, my LaLa Liquid Foundation under my cheekbones for a glowy-bronzed look, the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector to my cheekbones, the Motives Luminous Loose Powder to my t-zone, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette to set my bronzer and highlight, the Motives Pressed Blush to the apples of my cheeks, the Pure Cosmetics Nude Palette (literally the same exact as the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette) to my eyes, the Motives Fiber Lush Mascara to my lashes, the Motives Kohl Liner in my waterline, my BareMinerals Brow Powder and the ABH Clear Brow Gel, and my BareMinerals Gen Nude Liquid Lip Color in Boss to my lips.

I will then take a look at my fragrances and today I picked one of my favorite every-day scents, the Philosophy Pure Grace scent, which smells like fresh morning air mixed with clean laundry. It smells so lovely.

I will then get dressed, and this was my outfit of choice. I will also put on my accessories of choice and then I’m good to go! As I said earlier, I will either start school or work (depending on the day) or, as I am a part of a summer intensive trainer, will leave for training.

That’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed this blogpost. If you would like to watch the routine, the video is linked down below! I love you guys very much, and I hope you have a beautiful rest of your week!

Summer Look Book

Videography & Photography By: Michelle Ju (Instagram: juju_jubile)

Hello Everyone! I really love fashion, and I don’t do enough posts about it, but I’m here now, and you’re going to be seeing a lot of fashion posts in the future. This is just some outfit inspiration, as all of these items are out of stock, but I’m sure you guys will find outfits that you love based on these looks. Without further-a-do, let’s get into my Summer Look Book.

Look #1: Casual + Summery

This is a super casual look that you can wear pretty much everywhere. It’s a very low-key, chill outfit to go hang out with friends in. The coral tank top is a little more “dressy” than a regular t-shirt, but it’s really cute and comfortable and most importantly, when living in 100F+ degree heat, it must be breathable. I added these little shorts and converse, along with my white leather & rose gold watch.

Look #2: Beach Perfection

I love maxi dresses in the summertime, and this particular one with it’s peachy colors and neutral bodice is perfection. It’s probably one of (if not, the) most worn dress in my wardrobe. I’ve had it (I kid you not) since my 8th grade graduation, which was three years ago. Apparently I stopped growing…

I paired this look with my Jook&Nona “Happy” necklace and these big gold & pink drop earrings. Now, these earrings are very heavy and definitely tug at the lobes a bit, however I thought it was perfect with this dress and I don’t really mind. I tied the whole look together with these tightly-curled beachy waves and simple white strappy sandals.

Look #3 Evening Summer Party

As the nights cool down and the evening parties begin, this black dress is quite fun and flirty for a more dressy summertime party. The sunset lighting will reflect beautifully off the sequins, and the pop of cobalt blue is absolutely stunning with this look. This look can be paired with nearly any kind of accessory, but I chose to pair with with a black beaded clutch, perfect to fit my Vlogging camera, my phone, and my card holder. It’s a fun, beautiful look and also, you can never go wrong with a little black dress.

That is everything for this post! I really hope you guys enjoyed it and find inspiration for your summer activities! I love you guys lots, and I’ll see you guys soon!

June Favorites

Hello Everyone!
First off, I wanna say thanks for all the get well wishes you’ve been sending! I’ve been sick with a cold for the past five days (SMH). I’m getting better, so that’s a plus!!! I hope you guys have had a great June!

First thing I’m going to mention is the Motives Elements Color Box which we all know I love. I’ve mentioned this palette before but I have been using this pretty much non-stop throughout the month of June and I’ll be traveling with this when I leave in July. It’s a versatile palette, and I love that some of these shades can double as a translucent setting powder, a bronzer or contour shade, or a highlight. You’ve got everything for a natural every day look to a nighttime sultry smokey eye.

Next is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette  which, I’m just going to say it, is my favorite face palette of all time. You have a setting powder, a bronzer, and a highlighter and I use these products on a regular basis. This particular month I’ve been loving this for the eyes and face alike and I just love the way it makes my skin look. This palette will also be finding its way into my makeup travel bag.

Another thing I have been loving for a natural glow factor is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl.  I don’t mix this in with my foundation anymore like I used to as my skin is much more oily nowadays, but I do apply this on the high points of my cheekbones, a little above the point of my brows, and on the tip of my nose. It adds this summery, healthy glow to the skin and makes it just look beautiful. This particular color is perfect for all skin tones as well, so if you are a very fair skinned person looking for a gorgeous highlight, I highly recommend this one.

You guys know that I’ve had a weird relationship with this powder, but now that I am getting a bit tanner as the summer goes on, the Motives Luminous Loose Powder in Medium has been perfect for setting my face. It’s not making me look too orange which I appreciate and it makes my skin look absolutely flawless with it’s coverage enhancer in the formula. I highly recommend this setting powder (if you are more light to medium, I would go with translucent or light, and medium to dark, I would go with medium.).

I’m sure you guys know this was coming because I cannot stop raving about it in other videos and on social media, it’s the Motives Fiber Lush Mascara. I am a mascara snob and I have tried out quite a few mascaras (both drugstore and high end) and I can say that this particular mascara is hands down the best mascara I have ever used. It makes your lashes look fan-freaking-tastic. I love the formula, it’s not too clumpy but not too thin, it doesn’t crumble and fall out all over your face, and it’s perfect. It’s perfect. Go get it. You need it in your life.

These next two products are my custom blend eyeshadows in the shades Copper Sunset and Diamond White. If you’d like to see these in action and more detail on them, visit my other website

A nail polish I’ve been loving is a fun and flirty shade from the Motives Nail Lacquers in Prom Queen. It’s really opaque even with the red, gold, and silver micro-glitters within the formula. It’s a stunning nail polish and is really fun for the summer.

Lastly is a skincare item that I’ve been using for about a week now, but it works like magic. If you have acne prone skin or struggle with blemishes, this is for you. This is the Timeless Prescription Anti-Blemish Lotion. It reduces your blemishes from bright and bold to basically gone literally overnight. It has helped my skin so much, as my skin has been going absolutely crazy due to the change in season. It’s the coolest thing. You don’t shake it, and it’s a clear liquid with a pink sediment (but it doesn’t feel like sand) at the bottom, and you dip a cotton swab into it and place it on your blemish. It’s the weirdest consistency and it doesn’t feel gritty or anything like that. It’s freaking awesome.

Alrighty, I hope you guys enjoyed this monthly favorites! Let me know some of your favorites down in the comment section below. I love you all very, very much and I’ll see you in my next post!

January Look Book + Vlog!

Look 1: Cozy Chill Days

This is one of my favorite outfits. A nice sweater top is one of my favorite things to wear as far as winter is concerned. It’s a bit oversized with a chunky knit. I paired it with a maxi skirt and if I’m going out, I’ll pair it with a pair of simple ankle boots.

Look 2: On-The-Go

This is a great look for running errands, light outdoor exercise, and chilling around the house. This is probably my most-worn outfit when I’m going to and from dance. This top is from American Eagle Apparel and is very soft with a nice sized cowl neck. There are two slits and the shirt is longer than the average tee. I paired this with some thick, warm leggings and my nike airs.

Look 3: Workin’

This is an outfit I wear quite a bit to church and to other work-like events. To be honest, I do all my work from home or in my car rides (my mom drives), but I will wear this to go hang out with friends and other events that require me to “dress up” a bit. This coral top is a tank top from Forever 21 and the jeans are from Forever 21 as well. The cardigan is from American Eagle and is super warm and cozy. I paired this entire outfit with my “work bag” from Hush Puppies and these shoes that are well known and loved by Mix No. 6.

Look 4: Casual & Fashionable

I love this outfit and I think this is perfect for working in the office as well. The statement piece is the jacket. From the front, it looks like a regular army green jacket, but from the back, there is a fun pattern and tassels and small bits of fringe to add a bit of personality. I paired it with a black button-up top from Express, these blue jeans from American Eagle Apparel, a watch by Style&Co., and these leather boots from Nine West.

Look 5: Simple & Chic

This outfit is a bit different from the last two, and I wear this outfit to church and running errands all the time. I love the color of army green against my skin tone, and I paired it with a black skater skirt with black tights. My Bella Marie booties are comfy and much more practical than the stiletto heels seen above, and I love it with this outfit. It’s a simple, throw on look that you can style easily.

Hope you guys enjoyed this! Give it a like or two and I’ll see you next week!

P.S. I Vlogged a behind-the-scenes on this photoshoot! Check it out right down below.

I feel like when it comes to winter, feeling cozy is what it’s all about. So I’ve laid out my top 5 things that are essential in my wardrobe.

Number one has to be a cozy, warm jacket. This particular one is a double-breasted coat from Rosegal. It has a special tulle attachment to add a little extra flare, which I absolutely love. It’s warm, cozy, and feels like a hug. I’ve gotten so many compliments every time I’ve worn this, as I’ve had it for three years now. It’s a classic jacket that I personally think will never go out of style.

An oversized, cable-knit scarf is an absolute essential in my wardrobe for the winter time. This particular one is special just because my older brother got it for me. It’s from Cotton On, and it is an infinity scarf, which makes it feel like a warm and cozy hug. This one is a dark midnight blue, and it is my favorite scarf to wear.

I love a good pair of fuzzy socks, and they’re so cute and are available pretty much everywhere. Target I feel has the best selection and I love mine so much. They were given to me by one of my closest friends. P.S. If you’re struggling to find a good christmas gift for someone, you can never go wrong with fuzzy socks.

A hat and gloves are an absolute must for me. My mom gave me her leather gloves and they are so incredibly warm and black leather gloves go with everything. As for the hat, you can never go wrong with a black, cream, or black & cream beanie with a bauble. It adds style, personality, and a little extra warmth and cozy to your outfit.

A good pair of warm boots are essential for me in the winter time. The ones I have & am loving at the moment are from Francescas. I absolutely love that store for accessories and outfits. These have a small chunky heel and are knee high and have a small buckle on the side. I am in love with them and they go with everything. I am very pleased with these.

Love you guys lots! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Both of these outfits I wear quite frequently. I love how professional they can look, but also how comfortable they are. And for 5 1/2 in heels, these shoes are surprisingly comfortable. Just be sure to give your calves and quads a good stretch afterwards. 🙂
